4-6PM, Educators' Reception, Barnes and Noble, 4045 S. College Ave., Ft Collins, CO. Laura Resau will be part of a panel of authors discussing their books for young readers available on Nooks. She will also be happy to sign books and chat.

Boulder Bookstore (1107 Pearl St., Boulder, CO) 10 a.m. -5 p.m. As part of the Boulder Literacy Story-a-thon, Laura Resau will be reading picture books (in English and Spanish) for a half hour time slot (please check back here closer to the date to see the exact times of her session). She will also be available to sign her books and chat before and after her reading session. Proceeds from the event will benefit Reading Village’s work in Guatemala - 100% of donations will go towards the purchase of Spanish-language books for literacy programs in rural Guatemalan communities. CCIRA Conference, Denver. Featured Author. Two presentations (repeated): 10:30-11:30 and 2:45-3:45. Transcend Borders: Inspiration for Laura Resau’s Multicultural Books. Acclaimed author Laura Resau will share personal stories behind her novels, which are successful with 3rd graders through college. She'll discuss how her experiences as a teacher and anthropologist in Latin America led her to explore issues faced by immigrants and indigenous people.
